Left Bank Pictures’ first adult sketch show School Of Comedy – featuring a cast made up entirely of children – has been shortlisted for a Rose d’Or award in the category of Best Comedy.

School of Comedy is up against shows from Belgium, Germany, Finland and Australia (John Safran’s Race Relations), but Britain is dominating the category with nominees from the UK including C4 Comedy Gala, Facejacker, The Frankie Boyle Show (yet to be aired on Channel 4), La La Land, Russell Howard’s Good News, The Armstrong And Miller Show, The Impressions Show with Culshaw and Stephenson and the Kevin Bishop Show.

School of Comedy is back on E4 with a brand new series featuring an extended cast in September 2010, following a string of up and coming live shows at this year’s Edinburgh Festival.

A repeat of the 1st series of School Of Comedy will be airing on Channel 4 for the first time in early August.

The 50th Rose d’Or festival will take place in the Swiss city of Lucerne from 18 to 22 September.
